On November 17, the Beijing International Sustainability Conference was successfully hosted by the IFRS Foundation Beijing Office. This is the first international seminar held in the Chinese Mainland by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) after its release of the first batch of international sustainability disclosure standards (S1 and S2) at the end of June this year. At the Conference on the theme of “Get Ready: preparing to thrive in a new era of sustainability disclosure”, the two released standards were explained in details, and in-depth discussion was conducted on the global implementation progress of the standards, the challenges faced in the course and relevant solutions, and the future disclosure trends.

At the Conference, many enterprises, including China CITIC Bank, were awarded the “Partnership for Early Awareness of Sustainability-Disclosure Today” (P4EAST) and presented with a commemorative plaque at the ceremony organized by ISSB Beijing Office.
